I come from a family of hobbyists and collectors, and the thing I brought is something that has been on display on top of my dad’s roll top desk for a long, long time. […] Our house is filled with fossils and all sorts of rocks, gems and minerals, and on top of the roll top desk amongst those crystals and things was this, and so I just for a long time assumed it was some sort of rock, and then I finally picked it up and realized how light it is […] so for the longest time then I just assumed it was an egg. And one time I mentioned to my dad the egg […] and he’s like, “That’s not an egg, that is a giant cow hairball.”
What museum does it belong in? “It’s hard to say that I’d want to part with it, just because growing up in the house that I did with so many odd wonderful things…”
Sarah: “It can be a loan!”
Robin: “I guess it would be the Museum of My Dad’s Roll Top Desk.”
