…So I got this really cool gift from him [my grandfather] when I was deciding to go to engineering school… I went to a lovely community college with absolutely no recourses. So I learned to draft well into the age of AutoCAD… I really enjoy that aspect of fine engineering, fine science tools because you can really define the world around you, or create something new which is an exciting thing.
What museum would it go into? Best presents ever, but that’s kind of lame. For the OCD folks around us maybe things that fit very, very well in the case that they were designed for. But I think ultimately they’d probably end up in the permanent collection of “Tools to Make the Imaginary Real.”
