My item is another unintended purchase at an auction item [like Rachel’s]. It’s The Story of Abraham Lincoln, or the Journey from the Log Cabin to the White House. This is a first edition of this book and it’s from 1900. And what particularly interested me in this book is that the first page you open up to [is] the earliest portrait of Abraham Lincoln…the photograph is courtesy of H.W. Fay of DeKalb, Illinois.

This belongs in the Abraham Lincoln Museum or the Unintended Purchases at Auction Museum
