Rosenthal Hannibal horse head

I like going to auctions and you never know what you’re going to find. This particular horse came out of a box of items that I purchased to buy something else […] But it kinda sat around and I had some friends come over and joke about the horse head. And so it was getting close to Christmas and I thought oh I’m going to give this to them as a Christmas gift, for a while elephant gift. […]

My family was like “Maybe its worth something.” […] Its got markings on the bottom […] so I Google those things and it turns out this particular horse head was made in Germany during World War II era at Rosenthal, which is a factory there. It was designed by a gentleman named Hinrich Hussmann in 1936, and this particular one based on the model number it seems was made in 1941. It ranges in price online anywhere from 100 to 700 dollars. Needless to say my friends did not get this as a white elephant gift.
